Personal review

The Black Bass is the first fishing simulation game for the Famicom. I'm not a friend of fishing, neither in game form nor as a real-life activity, so maybe I'm not belonging to the typical target audience of such software products. But I'm pretty sure to say that even fishing enthusiasts will find this game boring and not very playable. With your boat you choose a place on a lake, choose one of several different types of lure and then try to be lucky to find and catch a fish in a side-view "action" sequence. Of course I was never be able to catch something so the motivation to play on went down very fast. Graphics are plain and the music/sfx are rather annoying.
