Alternate names: Loitering, Idling

See also: resting, time compression

In case the waiting is actually on part of the player, see excessive waiting tag.
This is not location limited like resting commonly is (and does not impart any bonuses to health/energy/etc. restoration like resting does), nor is this interactive like with time compression.

Depending where the player decides to loiter, this may cause random encounters to happen.

Unlike time compression and resting, this also commonly comes with a timer for how long you want to wait (which is largely missing in case of the other methods of passing time rapidly).
